Hi Mel and Nick,
we’ve just been catching up with your blog – congratulations on your huge achievement! Your Atlantic crossing sounds horrendous. We, on the other hand, are still sunning ourselves in Lagos – wondering where to go next! We arrived here just one day after you had left! We were really disappointed to miss you, but hope our paths cross again sometime. We met Ray and Judy in Leixoes and James (Scrabbler) here – everyone remembers your ham that we saw you carrying along the pontoon in Baiona – how long did it survive?? Look forward to reading more on your blog. Happy sailing!

Hi Nick @ Mel, WELL DONE!!, I am so happy to hear you have made it and are safely in the USA, not a day went past that I did not think of you two. Our local radio has been in constant contact with the rowing lads you met so it reminded me you were out there all alone in a little boat. Thanks so much for the last long blog you wrote, it really picked me up today as I was feeling a little down. I still can’t believe the massive achievement you have just accomplished; sorry to hear about Sid, maybe I can help you find a similar one. I have one question, At the end of your trip are you going to sell Bourne and fly home?….lol I can’t image going through them conditions for 27 days!!! Enjoy many days of sleep, proper food and the odd drink but most of all… enjoy the CARRABIAN!!! Can’t wait for the next post…Paul
